    My response….

No and neither can I name an accomplishment of Hillary or McCain so they are all on equal ground in that regard so it is a stupid question…….next one?

While I’m not a big fan of McCain, he has done something to advance the conservative agenda and to that extent has accomplished something during his time in Congress.

    Fred @ #2;
You miss the point either on purpose or because of stupidity. If you support somebody that is running for the highest office of the land of the most powerful nation on the earth, you should at least one or two of his many know his accomplishments that qualify him for the job. The facts are that Obama has none or the ones he does have are so thin as to be worthless for the job he is applying for.

Because you yourself can’t name the accomplishments of the primary opponents of Obama doesn’t mean that there are none. McCain has plenty and Hillary has a few.

And that is the bad part of all of this. Obama really isn’t that well qualified and he has some very sketchy associations for a man of his supposed caliber and honesty. When you add names of terrorists like Ayers and Dorn to hate mongers like Farrakhan and Wright, a certain picture that starts to emerge. When you add that picture to his non-record of accomplishment it is hard to see what his appeal is past his color and oratorical skills. Now if you want that sort of guy running the country, that’s the big question. And anticipating what your answer to that will be I’d have to ask: Why?

No I can’t, I posted the last video on my blog too. All the other candidates had a record to run on, Obama didn’t.

  6. […] He is unaccomplished. He hasn’t really done anything of worth relative to the office of the US presidency. […]

How anyone can possibly say that McCain has no accomplishments is totally ignorant. If i had to name only one, it would be his untiring service to his country, especially as a POW. just in case some didn’t know but in 2006 BO made a statement which was, john McCain was the only one to bring reform to Washington!!!

    Ok here . . .

    1) Obama -Luger (btw Luger is a republican)
    – helped decrease the threat of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons in the fromer USSR.
    – I believe McCain is actually on record commending a senator Obama for his work on this bill.

    2) Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006
-Obama co-authored and it led, which keeps Americans better informed on government
    spending. (Pork barrels anyone???)

    3) Dignified Treatment of Wounded Warriors Act, July of 2007
    -vetrans rights. . .duh

    4) Obama introduced amendment to 50 bills, 16 of which were adopted by the senate

For further reading on these bills as I have only included a few please check out this link. Actually I was a little impressed by just how much he has done in such a short period of time.

    1) Congress passes a bill and the threat of WMD magically decreases? You’re going to have to provide more support that any such thing has happened. And btw, Luger is a RINO. Liberal Republicans just don’t count.

    2) Fine. But that doesn’t mean Obama wants to get rid of pork barrell spending, far from it.

    3) Ok, so what? Like no one else wants to take care of veterans?

    4) Amendments?! haha, do you know what typically happens in Congress? Amendments are added all the time and by the HUNDREDS. Your point lacks perspective/context.

Moreover, I don’t judge Congressmen merely by how many bills they sponsor and amendments they add. I judge them by how consistently and effectively they promote the conservative agenda.

    “Impressed”? More like delusional.

    1) Just because congress passes any bill doesn’t mean that anything happens. By your screening process we do nothing. How about a nice unfunded mandate like no child left behind. And if liberal republicans dont count than McCain reaching across the aisle to work with Liberman sooooo doesn’t count. Oh yea and McCain said this was good work but then I guess he was wrong.

    2) McCain isn’t the only one who is opposed to wasteful government spending. Actually most people call pork barrel spending a necessary evil because congressmen tie it to important bills with a lot of good in them. It is a bad practice but both parties are gulity so I think the issue is pretty much a wash.

    3) Actually McCain has voted against veterans benefits A LOT. It’s this dirty little secret that he has a pretty low rating from most veterans groups.
September 2007: McCain voted against the Webb amendment calling for adequate troop rest between deployments.
May 2006: McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.
April 2006: McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.
October 2003: McCain voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd that called for an additional $322,000,000 for safety equipment for United States forces in Iraq

These are just a few reasons that most veterans advocacy groups give McCain a rating of D or lower. For the record Obama scores about a B.

    4) I meant look at the kinds of amendments he’s pushed. You get an idea of his beliefs, his agenda. YOU GET A RECORD. If you want a conservative agenda then Obama is not for you but actually well until the last few years when McCain flip flopped so much I’m surprised he didn’t break a hip, he really wasnt a conservative either. He wrote the immigration reform bill before he voted against it because he thought his base wouldn’t like him being for naturalization of illegal immigrants. Power hungry much???

Also I like how the argument changes that the amount of work they do doesn’t matter but its the kind of work they do. I agree completely. But the question was whether Obama had any record at all. Truth is he does.
